Introducing, the latest and greatest addition to our MORPHOLOGIE line: PoowelryTM Fossilized shark poop jewelry!
 
This sterling silver ring features a locally collected coprolite (shark poop) that's been hand-cut and polished into a cabochon. The stone is bezel set in the center of a fine twisted wire secured to a sterling backplate and ornamented ring band.
 
The coprolite setting measures 0.88 inches by 0.81 inches, and the overall ring is 1.1 inches tall from the bottom of the band to the top of the stone.
 
The cab colors feature STUNNING orange hues: creams, smooth oranges, and dark mahogany inclusions, basically what amounted to this shark's very last meal.
 
It takes very special conditions for organic material such as this to fossilize into solid rock. Most shark coprolites found in this area are plain brown or black on the outside. It's only when you cut into the stone, that the beautiful colors and patterns are revealed.
