The eagle has landed! But not THAT kind of eagle … this size 7.25 ring is set with a fossil eagle ray tooth section.
Stingrays have a set of crushing and grinding plates that allows them to feed on hard-body creatures such as molluscs and crabs. Pieces of the chevron-shaped teeth are often found on Charleston-area beaches, however, finding an entire plate intact is rare. This section was collected by a CFA staff member.
The ring’s simple design lets the pattern of the fossil shine. It features a high bezel and a twisted wire accent between the band and the setting. The wide, hand-hammered band allows for maximum comfort when worn.
You won't have to go to the moon and back for this one.
